Following 2009’s successful year of Homecoming and looking forward to 2014, The Scottish Government has named the period from May 2010 to May 2011 as ‘Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink’. As one of Scotland’s most distinct attributes, food and drink has played, and continues to play a strong role in shaping our cultural identity and heritage. EventScotland is working closely with the events industry to extend and enhance the food and drink experience at events throughout Scotland.
Held across Scotland, the five farmers markets will celebrate Scotland’s unique relationship with India. Mister Singh's India is keen to promote a Scottish/Indian cultural fusion after all Glasgow has won the Curry Capital of Britain four times.

On the day there will be cooking demonstration's using quality market ingredients and the chance to purchase a range of local produce. You will also be able to take away the recipes and try them for yourself.
So for all you budding chef's out there, why not come along and learn a few new skills that will turn up the heat in your kitchen at home! Mister Singh's India would also like you to upload the pictures of your finished creations to the Facebook page.
