PTS Clean smash their fundraising target at charity Curry & Race Night...

PTS Clean, based in Seath Road, Rutherglen held their first ever charity event on Saturday 16th June, in aid of the Intensive Care Unit at Glasgow’s Yorkhill Children’s Hospital.

We at Mister Singh's, were delighted to play host to such a fantastic event for a great cause. PTS Clean had hoped to raise around £2000.00 for the charity, but after a great response from local businesses who donated prizes for raffle & auction and the support of their own customers who attended the evening, they were ecstatic to be able to hand over a cheque for £3448.00!

Haggis Pakora: Pure dead brilliant
Mister Singh’s was reserved for the event where the 65 guests who attended enjoyed a 3-course meal, followed by the charity race night, raffle & auction, as luck would have it Mr. Davide Lago from the company’s equipment supplier, Eureka in Italy (who also sponsored the evening) was in the UK and he travelled up to Glasgow to take part, apparently after sampling the haggis pakora on offer, Davide, who is polishing up on his English/Glaswegian skills while he is here, said it was “pure dead brilliant”.

We're delighted that the night was such a huge success and that our haggis pakora went down a treat!

Madhur Jaffrey visits Mister Singh’s...

Madhur Jaffrey visited Mister Singh’s as part of her documentary on curry nation.  We are thrilled that she has chosen a couple of recipes from Mister Singh's menu to be featured in her new book.

We were honoured to have Madhur Jaffrey come to the restaurant in May and spend time watching the chefs cook and meet the family. We enjoyed the conversation she had with my dad with regards to when my father came to Britain in 1956 with his Dad and Brother Madhur.

Madhur Jaffrey is such a highly respected and admired individual within the industry and we look forward to the programme and would like to thank Cactus TV for all their contribution.

A big thank you for the excellent support !!

As most of you will know, we at Mister Singh's like to do as much as we can for truly hard working and deserving charities. Recently we have been doing a lot of work with Kidney Research UK.

The reason for this being, our very own Bobby Singh, is a sufferer of kidney problems. You may have read about this in our previous post regarding the "Opt Out Campaign".

In light this we are delighted to announce, that this sunday, we are hosting a Ladies Lunch, in the restaurant, in aid of Kidney Research UK, and it has SOLD OUT ! So we would really like to take the time to thank all the ladies who have taken their time to contribute to this cause, that is very close to our heart.

We are also happy to announce that our next event for Kidney Research UK, a Race Night in March, has also been SOLD OUT. It means so much to us to see people donating to such a worthy cause.

So to finish off, we are looking forward to seeing all of the beautiful ladies in their gladrags this weekend, and to everyone who will be attending the Race Night.

We look forward to seeing you all.
